Heartfelt Creations November Alumni Blog Hop

 Hello Friends,

I am so excited to be back in the Blog hop as a Heartfelt Creation Alumni member and this time we have the brand new Black Friday launch dies to share with you our creation.

For today, I have the brand new Elegant Gateway dies and create a Wedding Envelope and Gift Box Coordinating Combo.

The Alumni Team hops the last friday of each month. By hopping along with us you have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate . The Hop starts at 8AM DST on Friday, Novemeber 27th, 2020 and closes Monday, November 30 at 11:55 PM DST. Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020.

All you have to do is leave a comment on each blog in the hop before 11:55 DST on Monday, November 30,2020. We will randomly choose one comment from a mystery blog to win the $25 Gift Certificate.

The box is a plain 4'x4" box however I choose to decorate the lid using the gateway die. I took the separate piece and layered each of them with a 1/8" difference from each layer. Also kept a layer of Gold card stock to get the elegance. I have also kept the base layer using a dry embossed background to add an edge.

For the money envelope I simply die cut a white panel of white card with the one of the dies from the collection and layered it with a pattern paper( from any collection you may choose ). Each layer is raised using foam dots and also some foam layers to get the raised effect.

If you notice I left the center filigree piece blank without any flowers or sentiments so that the die cut designs can be captured.

Some more close up of the project and yes the flower bouquet is also handmade from Heartfelt creation flower die.

Hello Lovely people, its been a while I hopped blogs with Heartfelt creation due to various reasons. But now I promised from now onwards I will be a regular on this. Now coming to my project.

Recently I have been indulged in lot of distress inks techniques and painting. So I thought lets use the same and then create something beautiful which is quick and creative.

Created a distress ink background with lots of stamping , heat embossing and dry embossing with the help of Dogwood flower stamps and also leave image. Later sprinkled some water and heat set it.

In order to assemble , nested two oval shape dies and die cut a white paper. Also offset oval nested dies and created the inner die cut shape.

For the motifs , white heat embossed two flower image from the dogwood collection and then white water color them. Kept it simple since it will be laid on a busy background. Tucked in leaves which is white embossed on a vellum sheet.

Finished it with a sentiment and inserted it in between the flower arranegement.

A randomly chosen comment from a mystery blog will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. To claim your prize please email Heartfelt Creations at socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.us with "Winner of the April Alumni Hop" in the subject line.

Wooden Plaques

Hello Friends,

Piyanki here today with another exciting, fun project featuring the Craftreat Stencils. You must have seen the array of home decor stencils that are there in the Craftreat catalogue.

Today;s project is a form of wall art and is a fun technique to work with Stencil. Let me give some peak into the projects.

Steps:
1 -  Apply a thin coat of White Gesso on all the wooden plaques and let it dry.
2 -  Apply a think coat of any dark shade chalk paints. Rub some candle stick on the surface to create the chipped edges and also the distress edge.
3 - Once done then apply a lighter shade on top it and let it semi dry.
4 - Once partial dry chip off paints and also sand it with a sanding block so that on some places the background color exposes.
5 - Take your stencil and using a rolling brush transfer the image.
6 - Stamp some images with archival ink( Do not use distress ink here ) to create a background.
7 - Apply antique wax and rub off with a clean cloth.
8 - You can choose to apply a coat of varnish to finish this project.

A beautiful Change!

Hello Everyone, today I have a very beautiful project to share with you all! Its quite summery , bright and shiny on my part of the world. This project is inspired by where I live , mood boards and definitely the fun of working with colors and chips.

The moodboard of Dusty Attic inspired me a lot not only with the bright yellow and orange but also with the theme. I am working with lot of chips featuring in my projects and also in my altered Canvas I preferred to pick up a quote as a focal point than an image or a photograph.

So here's some close ups and the project I created.Every element in my project has a story to attach to the layout.

Here I am using a Dusty Attic chipboard inspired by the wedding bouquet and the tale center piece. I gessoed it and then painted it green with some splashes of stones.

I love flowers and love to make handmade ones, so the orange and yellow color palate in the moodboard is from where I picked up the colors also flowers form part of the storyboard. The chipboards are colored with golden and silver sparkles depicting the bride shoe in the picture.

Creation of a butterfly is a new life , a new beginning and so is the wedding . I loved the quote as it adds a lot of depth.

Here's the final canvas which shows the entire layout with all the elements,.

I am entering this in the dusty Attic Blog. Below is where you will find all the elements I used from

Hope you liked it and do share your love and comment.

Until then Happy Crafting!

Memories.. are FOREVER!

Hello Friends, its been a while I have blogged my creative journey and new inspiration with you all! However various challenges around the world tickled me to get into my creative juices.

Today I have a mixed media Canvas for you all inspired by 2 mixed media challenges and also introducing the Craftslane newly launched chips. You can see all the beautiful wooden chips here at the link Craftslane.

Now onto the project, I love keeping 2-3 colors on my canvas while leaving a lot of the white space allowing it to draw most of the focus on the element. Also I prefer to use words and phrases instead of photographs.

I chose the Frame and Memory as a inspiration from the More Than words challenge and the color palette from Mixed Media Art Challenge. Create mixed media textured background on which assembled on the various elements , chips , Prima flowers around a decorate Prima Frame.

Choose a Resin Frame around which all  the elements are assembled and also the word Forever. Memories are for forever hence Forever signifies Memory for me.

The color palette , flower and the butterfly resonates in my mixed media canvas.

Let me know how you liked my projects,
Until then Happy Crafting!

Debuting Frame a Card Dies

Welcome friends to a mini launch by Heartfelt Creations and its fabulous. The dies include some excellent frames , intricate borders to add the magic and elegant touch to your cards.

The entire team has many inspirations to share with you and here's what I have for you.

Instructions
The final card measures 7"x 5" and is built on a white card base. The card has 4 layers and the top most layer has the filigree layout created. Cut a navy blue card stock which measures 1/8"less than the white card base. Cut another gold card stock that measures 1/8" less than the navy blue card stock. Take another white card stock and die cut the leafy borders and from a gold card stock die cut the solid border die from the Leafy border die set. Glue all the white leafy border onto the gold card stock die cut borders. In order to fill the sides and the grooves, die cut several pieces of the decorative die from the window box elements die. Strip them from the corners and middle and tuck it in alignment with the gold panel.
For the flowers, Stamp the flowering dogwood flowers and leaves from the window box elements die set on a white card stock using embossing ink. Sprinkle some gold embossing powder and then heat set it. Die cut all the flowers and leaves using the coordinating die. Apply a very light shade of the archival ink (Vibrant Fuschia) to the flowers and Library Green to the leaves. Sprinkle some water to the die cut flowers and leaves and then shape them. Heat set them so that the flowers retain the shape.
For the center focal frame die cut 3 piece of eyelet frame die from gold card stock and adhere to each other to create a sturdy frame. Stamp the sentiment with black archival ink on a white card stock and with a foam adhesive adhere it to the center of the card layout. Arrange all the shaped flowers and leaves around one corner of the center gold frame. Add a string and some pearls to finish the card.
