Cards with Mudra!

Hello Friends, Piyanki here. Welcome to another brand new post. At Mudra we have a very fun interesting challenges launched this month.

Yes Reverse Stamping or you call it Mirror stamping. Its a very interesting and versatile technique. It allows you to  use your stamps in a very efficient way.

Today I have 3 cards for your. I have not used reverse stamping though however you can refer to my previous post here.

Card 1

A very simple card adorned with the Persian elements set. To make the card do random stamping with black archival ink on a neenah white Card stock. Using Zig color all the background or the negative space. Later with a sharpie bold the outline throughout the card. Did not add any sentiments or embellishments considering the background to be bold. Place the colored panel on a double layer card stock for the base.

Card 2

For the second card I used different shades of Hero Art Green Ink and then repeat stamping using the Fern and Petal set. Later using a Sharpie I bordered the panel and also did multiple dots on the negative space. Cut a 1/2" strip of the front panel. To add the sentiment die cut some bold alphas using the same coordination color.

Card 3

For this one, it was a super fun working with the Giraffe mini set. Its a small one however can do wonders on your project. The way I created this card using some technique I was inspired by Jennifer. I die cut several pieces of concentric circles from black and white and adhered to the 2 corners of the card. Later die cut a rectangle frame and adhered on the top. Colored the giraffe using zig and fussy cut and places it on the top.

Do share how you like the cards and projects. Would love to hear from you.
Will be back soon with some fun projects.

Its a Girl!

Hello Everyone, I am  here today with a brand new card using the DCAM Stencil and dies. Its a very cute project and I thoroughly enjoyed creating it.

So now its turn for the project. I will explain in detail how I created this.

The final card measures 5.5x5.5. It has 3 layers. First layer is made with water color background. First used the DCAM Die " Its a Girl" and placed it diagonally. Later used shades of pink distress ink for the water color effect.

Once the layer is created, tore it and distressed the edge. For the second layer Used the DCAM Stencil to create a background with texture paste. Its a pink CS and hence did not color the background. Left it white textured.

Now for the center piece. I used the DCAM square die and die cut 10 pieces. Created a stack with 8 and then used the rest two after placing the sequins.

At the bottom stamped a baby stamp on a vellum sheet from my collection to add to the theme.

This way if you make any shaker its much easier and also the sequins would not stick to the sides.
The flowers, lace, trims are all from my collection.

Later finished the card with some candy rock glitter and white splatter

Untill Then keep crafting!
See you soon at the next blog!

Happy Thanks!

Hello Friends, today I have a card for the coming thanksgiving holidays and also to celebrate fall!

I must say I had fun making this project specially with the colors and some new products that I have used.

In addition the season, the weather enables it all. There are lot of little details that I have added .

Coming to the details. Itsy Bitsy Team send me some samples of their newly launched color splash colour sprays along with stencils and some card stock.

I have used the Stencil and the color spray in this project. The sprays are absolute perfect for any surface. I have used it on canvas, water color paper ( On this Project), Neenah CS and also fabric.

They have a clear stain effect and gives you the perfect look.

So first I took a water color paper and using the stencil I sprayed the Mocha and Lemon. Later I used the stencil and embossed with white embossing powder. And also used white texture paste to give a third layer.

This is the first time I have used 3 different medium with the stencil and it has given me the perfect look I wanted.

Now for the embellishments, I have used the Cheery Lynn Dies for the doily and also the flowers. This time the gardenia looks different :). Wanted to give a very loose and shredded look to the leaves and flowers.

Used some wooden beads to give a texture along with metal ribbon. Since its a very busy card kept the sentiment very simple.

I am playing the Cheery Lynn and Card Concept Challenge with this card hence used the fall theme as per the challenge rules.

For the leave I have fussy cut from a DCWV paper stack. Layered with 2 base card stock and finished it.

Product Used:
Dies: Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip | English Tea Party Doily | Embellishment #3
Dies: W plus Tag Die
Color : Itsy Bitsy Color Splash Lemon and Mocha | Distress Inks
