Garden of Life

What happens when you do not have any stamps to use, or confused what stamps or image to use.

Just pick up any PP stack from your collection and this is what happens. I purposely dint want to use any stamps in this card.

I forced myself to think and create and not use stamps.

The design PP is from Design by Shellie. Its a beautiful stack and specify garden of Life.

This is my DT project for Sketch Saturday for the sketch:

Tri - Shutter - Card : Its Summer Time

Hello Everyone, hope everyone is beating the heat and coping with the scorchy sun :).

Anyways its quite a season up here in north and its the perfect time for a cool summer project.

Today  I bring you a card which you can use to tell a story with many sentiments. Its nothing unique that I made or invented as most of you must have seen it on various craft sites.

So its called a Tri - shutter - Card and the reason I like this card always because of the immense space it gives to express what you want to say yet the compact size being the standard 5.5x4.25.

1. Take a 51/2" X 12" any color CS for the card base. Chose the stamp set and basic supplies.

2. Keep the CS horizontal on the scoring board and score at 2",4",8" and 10".

3. Align the CS vertical at 11/2"  and cut from 2" to 10". Slide at 4" and cut at the same scores.

4. It has a total of 11 panels and I have numbered it so that its easier for the embellishments and size.

** Below is the measure for each of the 11 panels. Cut the other CS at 1/8" less than the base CS.

P1 : 2 X 51/2"
  P2  :21/2" X 2"
P3: 11/2" X 2"
P4: 11/2" X 2"
P5: 4" X 11/2"
P6: 4" X 21/2"
P7: 11/2" X 4"
P8: 2" X 11/2"
P9 : 2" X 21/2"
 P10: 2" X 11/2"
P11: 2 X 51/2"

Above are the panels and how I have decorated and embellished each of the panels.  All the panels base CS is colored using distress ink and given a background with the smallest element in the stamp set.

And the finally the card look like this :). I have chosen some summer colors if you may notice to sprinkle some additional touch.

Congratulations

Hello Everyone,

I am super excited to present my card today as this is my first post as a DT for Happy Little Stamper.

HLS has various challenges and I am part of the design team for "Anything Goes with Dies" where your project should exhibit your work with dies.

You can use any dies from any other company along with HLS :) and so here's my card for this month.

I chose the word congratulations as this is my first post as a DT for HLS and for so many since the term starts from May.

Also the colors I have kept in subtle and soft.

Supplies:

Petite Vinery die  from Creative Expression ( for the leafy swirls )
Gina K Designs Die ( For the Stitched rectangle die)
Nina White CS ( for the card based )
Inks : Ranger's Archival | Mustard Seed Distress | Crushed Olive | Ripe Persimmon

Thanks for Stopping by, will be back soon!
XOXO

Cute as a Button

Hello Everyone, A new day and a new month and hence some new release. I am at the Peek a boo blog today with this month's finest collection.

One very unique thing about this month release is the different kind of set the collection has. It goes well with the summer theme and hence helps you add the prefect touch to your projects.

So lets first look at this months release.

And for my project I have used the "Roundy Sentiments"

So going by this month's challenge theme here's my card.

`

Its a CAS card and I have used the most sweetest sentiment from the set. Also used partial die cutting to add the sentiment.

Since here the button is the hero, I ensured we have it as the focal point. To complete the card I used a fabric washi tape.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you like the project and get inspired.

I will be back with more soon,
XOXO
